The success of the direct mail industry relies on an affordable and dependable U.S. Postal Service. Our nonprofit and commercial customers, our business, and our business partners all need a USPS that effectively delivers for America.

The Postmaster General’s 10-year plan is sending the USPS into an unfortunate destructive spiral — businesses and consumers are paying higher rates while the USPS isn’t held responsible for service accountability. At the end of September, they released an update to this 10-year plan reinforcing to the industry they have no intention of changing course.

Since August 2021, postage rates have increased six times, occurring every six months, which represents the most significant rise in mailing costs in the nearly 250-year history of the Postal Service. Projections suggest that without changes to the current trajectory, the price of a stamp could reach $1.19 by 2030! At PS, we do everything we can to advocate for affordable, reliable US postal services. We encourage you to do the same!
