Giving is a human need. There are countless studies that reinforce this idea that when we give, we experience three types of benefits: neural (dopamine release), personal (self-esteem/respect) and social (connectedness/status). We’ve all experienced that “warm glow” at the heart of the exchange when we carry out the act of giving.

For those very reasons, Production Solutions’ vision is to Inspire More People to Give.

Additionally, studies tell us employees at PS need a deeper sense of purpose in the work they do every day. We at PS must strive to continuously create a clearly aligned, purpose-driven environment. At the heart of the exchange of purposeful work is that same “warm glow” that drives better service, quality, engagement, and innovation.

The human benefits experienced from a clear purpose are closely aligned with those that occur when one carries out the act of giving.

To that end, we recently concluded a 14-month employee engagement project, Deepening Our Why, which created an even more robust and aligned sense of purpose from the work for which our staff is responsible – namely getting our clients’ mail programs executed accurately and on-time – even in the most challenging of circumstances.

As a part of this project, we were reminded that we are a company built with love at the center. That there is a lifetime of love in every package we produce. And that the details create experiences that last a lifetime. Direct mail production management is challenging and difficult because we care.  We care about our clients, their missions, our colleagues, the work we do, and every last detail.  We invite you to learn more about our Deepening Our Why project here.

How are you working to deepen a sense of purpose in your team?
