It’s that time of year again, where summer allows for more daylight and time outdoors with family and friends, backyard cookouts with fresh fruits and veggies, pool and beach time, ideally a vacation getaway… and our annual Bridge Conference! Bridge is a mainstay of summer and has been for 17 years. We will be back together again in person at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center soon, and I can’t wait.
For those that haven’t yet attended, this conference is a wealth of collaboration and education for our industry.
So much of our talented industry volunteer their knowledge, expertise, and perspective from which we can all benefit. Perhaps that is one of the best aspects of Bridge and of our industry as a whole – the desire to share and learn from one another for the ultimate success of every nonprofit’s fundraising program and ultimately, mission.
I would argue that the collaboration and networking available at Bridge is a primary reason for attending. This is a time when we are all brought together at one of the biggest events all year. Catching up with longtime friends and colleagues, forming new relationships, and reconnecting with people, in person, in general. Bridge is exhilarating in that way.
The education and learnings that come from speakers, hosts, and co-chairs of the conference is another aspect to look forward to. The vast, diverse group of individuals in physical attendance is a gift that we have access to, both in sessions and at the many booths in the Solutions Showcase. Learning from others sparks the inspiration many of us are seeking after so much time apart.
The opportunity to gather, catch up and spend time together is so special after a challenging few years. I am truly looking forward to thanking our valued partners and providers for all they are doing to keep us in the mail, and fundraising. It’s been far too long since we’ve seen one another other than in 2D. I’m looking forward to seeing YOU there!
